Yoga Teacher Training with Summer Quashie, Paul Manza, and Leigh Evans

ABOUT THE TRAINING

Our 200 hour, Yoga Alliance certified training is an alignment based vinyasa teacher training that awakens mindfulness in asana and invites inner stillness. Our training enables graduates to adapt and apply a practice for any individual and then be sensitive to the changing needs and opportunities for each class or person. This program is an extension of Greenhouse Holistic's commitment to nourish our community with the benefits of yoga.

The head instructors draw from years of practice and teaching experience over a broad range of approaches to offer a complete, clear and powerful curriculum.

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who are dedicated to spreading the light and love that the science of yoga makes available.

This unique opportunity to study intensely in the heart of Brooklyn, is supported by our rare one-on-one mentorship program with the core teachers, a free Greenhouse membership for the duration of the training and the requirement of taking 2 classes a week with the core teachers. The kind of connection to a spiritual community that develops in the training is celebrated by submersion in an upstate retreat for one of the weekends. Not only will this training lead one on a journey inward, but it fosters tools to truly be in the world and live yoga and teach to a vast scope of people.

LEIGH EVANS Leigh Evans is a yoga teacher and dancer dedicated to awakening creativity and aliveness in the body. Leigh has been teaching yoga for 17 years. Her emphasis is on developing mindfulness through the yoga practice, inviting you to witness the shifting sensations of the body and attune to the inner unfolding of each asana. Since 1985, Leigh has practiced Hatha Yoga in the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga traditions in the U.S. and India. She is grateful for the guidance of her teachers, Dharma Mitra, Sarah Powers, Rodney Yee, Lisa Walford, Barbara Benagh, Mary Paffard, and Ramanand Patel. Leigh loves the practice of yoga for the peacefulness and clarity of mind that comes from the breath flowing freely in the body. Leigh is the Director of the Greenhouse Holistic Teacher Training Program.

SUMMER QUASHIE has been teaching since 2002 and teaches to smile when the poses present a challenge, to see the illusion of ordinary life and expand to extraordinary levels. Her studies in Yogic and Buddhist philosophy enrich her teaching style. Summer has studied closely with Jeff Migdow, M.D. in Prana Yoga and anatomy and physiology of the subtle and physical body. She is certified in Kids Yoga with Shakta Kaur Khalsa and Prenatal Yoga with Janice Clairfield. Summer is a mom and a visual artist and grateful for all the amazing teachers life places in her path.
