Yoga Teacher Training

ABOUT THE TRAINING

Our 200 hour, Yoga Alliance certified training is an alignment based vinyasa teacher training that awakens mindfulness in asana and invites inner stillness. Our training enables graduates to adapt and apply a practice for any individual and then be sensitive to the changing needs and opportunities for each class or person. This program is an extension of Greenhouse Holistic's commitment to nourish our community with the benefits of yoga.

The head instructors draw from years of practice and teaching experience over a broad range of approaches to offer a complete, clear and powerful curriculum.

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who are dedicated to spreading the light and love that the science of yoga makes available.

What makes this training unique is we offer one on one mentorship and our special retreat gives you the opportunity to go very deep into your practice and connect with your fellow students.

LEIGH EVANS is a yoga teacher and dancer dedicated to awakening creativity and aliveness in the body. She loves the practice of yoga for the peacefulness and clarity of mind that comes from the breath flowing freely in the body. Since 1985, Leigh has practiced Hatha Yoga in the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga traditions in the U.S. and India. She is grateful for the guidance of her teachers, Dharma Mitra, Sarah Powers, Rodney Yee, Lisa Walford, Barbara Benagh, Mary Paffard, and Ramanand Patel and for her studies in India at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, 1996, and with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, 1995. Drawing from her additional studies in Vipassana Meditation, Classical Indian Odissi dance, Balinese dance, and Japanese Butoh, she offers a sacred, healing and mindful yoga practice. Leigh's dedication to Asian forms of performance and healing arises from her desire to share the meditative and transformative states of consciousness prevalent in these traditions. She has been teaching yoga for 16 years. Her classes invite you to witness the shifting sensations of the body and attune to the inner unfolding of each asana.

SUMMER QUASHIE has been teaching since 2002 and teaches to smile when the poses present a challenge, to see the illusion of ordinary life and expand to extraordinary levels. Her studies in Yogic and Buddhist philosophy enrich her teaching style. Summer has studied closely with Jeff Migdow, M.D. in Prana Yoga and anatomy and physiology of the subtle and physical body. She is certified in Kids Yoga with Shakta Kaur Khalsa and Prenatal Yoga with Janice Clairfield. Summer is a mom and a visual artist and grateful for all the amazing teachers life places in her path.
